“But the sad thing is that in our modern society, it doesn’t grow. It shrinks. ... And Alzheimer’s is actually a result of the shrinking process,” says a molecular geneticist, and physician Dr. Michael Nehls. “Your life experience, which makes up actually your individuality, is replaced by essentially a commodity—what everybody learns [from] the news—and it’s replaced. And you are left as a human being [who], at the extreme stage, is only remembering the narratives that would create fear and sorrow.”
