Try this easy to make Chinese Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs in less than 30 minutes. The ribs are fried until golden crispy, then cooked in an appetizing sweet and sour sauce.

Ingredients:
  • 2 lb Pork Rib
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp White Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Wine
  • 0.5 cup Cornstarch
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 count Egg
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 3 oz Brown Sugar
  • 3 oz Rock Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 0.5 cup Flavored Vinegar
  • 0.5 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Potato Starch mix with 2 Tbsp Water

Cut ribs into 1 inch cubes.

In a bowl, mix ribs, salt, white pepper, cooking wine, cornstarch, ¼ cup of water and 1 egg, until all rib pieces coated thoroughly.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, pour enough cooking oil for deep frying. Heat oil to 250°F-300°F/120°C-150°C, drop rib pieces in one by one, stir constantly. Fry for 10 minute until golden brown. Take ribs out and drain oil. Then set ribs aside.

Preparing sweet and sour sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, add 1 cup of water, salt, brown sugar, rock sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, stir occasionally until boiling and rock sugar meted. Stir in cornstarch and water mixture ,lower heat and stir constantly until sauce thickens.

Add in ribs, stir until all pieces are evenly coated with sauce.
